Practice & careerSocial Work, Aged Care / Older Persons
The NSW Aged Care Practice Group invites you to join this upcoming online session featuring Helen Genaris, Senior Social Worker with Sydney Local Health District and tutor at Western Sydney University.
Helen brings over 30 years of experience across hospital social work, mental health, child protection, trauma-informed care, grief and loss, aged care, and domestic and family violence. Her work has focused largely on community-based practice, supporting people experiencing complex and multifaceted challenges, and promoting wellbeing while navigating increasingly complex service systems.
Helen has a particular interest in elder abuse and domestic and family violence and will share insights from her extensive clinical and teaching experience, with a focus on practical, trauma-informed approaches to working with older people.
This session is a great opportunity to connect with colleagues, share knowledge, and engage in discussion on current issues in aged care practice.
