The theme for World Social Work Day in 2022 is Co-building a New Eco-Social World: Leaving No One Behind. World Social Work Day is held on the third Tuesday of March each year, this year falling on Tuesday, 15 March 2022.
It's the day that we celebrate the social work profession and promote the vital work of social workers to the Australian community, and globally.
Send us 50 words or fewer on the theme: ‘What does an Eco-Social World: Leaving No One Behind mean to you?’ with your first name and photo. We will publish them across the AASW Hub and our social media on #WSWD2022. Let’s make some noise, social workers! Email media@aasw.asn.au by Thursday, 10 March 2022 midnight AEDT.
To recognise World Social Work Day 2022 on Tuesday, 15 March 2022, the AASW is delighted to be hosting a panel discussion on "Exploring the intersection between the sustainable development goals, social work and the new eco-social world."
This online only event will feature a one-hour panel that will explore social work practice in the emerging consciousness of sustainability, ecoism and people. See the panel below.
