A clearer, more consistent AASW
14 August 2026
The AASW is changing how it works, communicates and delivers for members and the profession. Today, we are introducing a refreshed look for AASW as one visible part of that broader shift.
Over time, different colours, designs and approaches have made the AASW less consistent and, at times, harder to recognise. We are bringing these together, so the AASW is clearer, more consistent and easier to recognise wherever members and the profession encounter us.
The refresh is about presenting our purpose to advance social work and its values with greater clarity and consistency to how AASW looks and presents itself across our website, MyAASW, communications, programs and resources. It retains what is familiar and recognisable about the AASW while introducing a more contemporary and consistent approach.
For members, it means a more recognisable and consistent experience, making it easier to identify information, programs, resources and opportunities from their professional association.
For the profession, it gives AASW a clearer and more consistent presence when representing social workers to governments, policymakers, employers, the media and the Australian community.
Our refreshed look has been developed in-house by the AASW team, using our existing internal expertise and resources. It is a considered evolution of how AASW presents itself, bringing greater consistency to what we already have.
Whilst we have made these broad changes, a small range of website pages have not been refreshed at this time – as they are likely to be updated or retired in the near future.
This is one part of a much bigger program of change focused on becoming a more responsive, consistent and effective professional association for members, and a stronger national voice for social work.
