Panel and Networking Event

We were delighted to host the Panel and Networking Session held on 14 February at the Margaret Fairweather Education Space, UWA Crawley Campus, A wonderful evening with conversations around current emerging themes and challenges in the social work sector, including issues including sustainability, social prescribing, attracting higher social work student numbers, and promoting the regional workforce.

Thank you to our esteemed panel (L-R) Dr Stephan Lund, (Chair) Associate Professor and Head of Social Work & Social Policy at UWA, Emma Jarvis, CEO of Palmerston Association, Mary Joyce, Head of Department at Sir Charles Gairdner and Osborne Park Health Care Group, Cindy Smith, CEO of AASW.

Seeking Practice and Networking Group convenors

If you have 2-3 hours a month to spare and are passionate about social work in your community of practice (eg Mental Health, Private Practice) or state/territory perhaps you would like to consider starting a Practice or Networking Group. Not only will you be able to give back to your fellow social workers and your profession, but you could also help shape activities providing peer support and networking (Practice and Networking Groups) and category 3 professional development both online and in person (Practice Groups only).
