Branch – Tasmania

The Tasmanian Branch, with over 400 members, is managed by a voluntary Branch Management Committee elected by the Branch membership.

The Branch’s key role is to provide local support for AASW members through a range of activities that enable members to network, develop practice skills and organise around social justice issues. The Branch Management Committee provides the conduit for communications between members in Tasmania.

Mapping the Journey to a Better Future Forum

This Forum is an opportunity for Tasmanian social workers to network, share ideas, and seek creative and innovative solutions to the professional challenges facing our practice and our communities. Forum themes:

• major challenges for social work in Tasmania over the next decade;

• key constraints on our practice and how to limit their impact;

• the roles that social workers can play in building better futures for all.
