LIVE ONLINE WEBINAR
Capability Level: Emerging and Evolving
For social workers, having a thorough knowledge of trauma is crucial, as they often encounter clients impacted by trauma in various settings. This webinar is designed to deepen your understanding of the key differences between PTSD and CPTSD, enabling you to make more accurate assessments and provide effective interventions or referrals.
During the webinar, you will learn about the Three Phased Approach to trauma treatment, gaining insight into how different client histories can affect the treatment process. You’ll also become familiar with various assessment tools and methods. Drawing from practices like EMDR you will learn to distinguish between PTSD and CPTSD, which can significantly influence a client’s path to recovery.
Who should attend?
This webinar is designed for Social Workers seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in working with clients experiencing PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and CPTSD (Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). This training focuses on developing the expertise of practitioners already engaged in trauma work with clients across various contexts. It is also valuable for Social Workers who may not directly address trauma but wish to deepen their understanding of trauma, improving client interactions, enriching clinical practice, and facilitating appropriate referrals.
