Research indicates that a significant number of parents experience stress and feelings of powerlessness when managing challenging child behaviors. This workshop is specifically tailored for social workers who support families dealing with escalating challenges such as aggression, defiance, or emotional withdrawal. Relational Presence (also known as Non-Violent Resistance) offers an evidence-based framework to empower caregivers and promote positive change without relying on traditional reward and consequences approaches.
By mastering the core principles of Relational Presence, social workers can equip families with strategies that strengthen their confidence, enhance relationships, and create a more harmonious dynamic, even in high-stress situations.
This workshop will introduce the principles and practical applications of Relational Presence, focusing on empowering families to navigate challenging behaviors effectively. Topics include:
