Event description:
A poll in June found that 30% of social workers were using AI in their daily practice (UK). AI is becoming part of everyday practice, yet many social workers are unsure how to use it in ways that align with social work values.
While AI can significantly reduce paperwork, practitioners need to understand how to use it ethically, safely and to support individualised client work.
Building these skills helps social workers stay informed, think critically and use AI responsibly.
This webinar introduces AI, context and how it is helpful. It goes into prompting, AI scribes, key risks, and a range of helpful uses.
Who should attend?
This webinar is suitable for social workers at all levels of experience, including students, early career and experienced clinicians. No prior knowledge of AI is necessary and only basic computer skills are required. Anyone wanting a practical, ethical and accessible introduction to using AI in social work will benefit. Participants will not need to have their own AI accounts or tools, as the webinar will be demonstration-based.
