Start World Social Work Day with the SA Branch at their breakfast celebrating connection, community, and this year’s theme, Co-Building Hope and Harmony.
Join the SA Branch for a special World Social Work Day Breakfast celebrating connection, community, and this year’s theme, Co-Building Hope and Harmony.
We are pleased to announce Katrine Hildyard MP, Minister for Child Protection, Minister for Women, and Minister for Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence will be speaking at the opening of the event.
We are honoured to welcome Susan Dixon, a proud Kaurna and Narungga woman deeply connected to her communities, who will provide the Welcome to Country and reflect on this year’s World Social Work Day theme. Susan brings more than four decades of voluntary service across Aboriginal boards, organisations, and community sectors, and is widely recognised for her advocacy for social justice, equity, and accessibility. Her many contributions include receiving the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award from the City of Port Adelaide Enfield and contributing cultural leadership to the Kaurna centre of excellence, Yitpi Yartapuultiku.
We will also be hearing an update regarding social work registration from Professor Sarah Wendt, Director of the Social Workers Registration Board of South Australia.
Come together with fellow social workers to share breakfast, connection, and inspiration as we celebrate the impact of our profession and the strength of community.
