0.5 CPD hour Psychosexual and Intimacy Concerns in the Context of Chronic Illness: Assessment and Intervention Skills This webinar is an overview of strategies for social workers practitioners to engage in conversations about the impact of chronic illness on sexuality and intimate relationships. Social workers can learn skills to elicit concerns about sexual function and can provide information and interventions. Using a strengths based focus, incorporating psychosexual assessment into clinical practice has the potential to empower people with chronic illnesses to take control of aspects of their lives that have been impacted by disability and impairment; with an aim of enhancing relationships and optimising quality of life. 0.5 CPD hour Postcards from Practice: Learnings from Practice with Violence, Abuse and Trauma Presenter: Dr Tamara Blakemore Tamara is a fourth-generation Novocastrian and first in family University graduate. She is a social work practitioner, researcher and educator. Her practice-based research is focused on trauma, justice, mental health and intersecting practice perspectives. This learning webinar presents learnings from practice with violence, abuse and trauma. In particular it focuses on practice reflections and learnings from culturally-responsive, trauma-informed work with young people who perpetrate violence in their interpersonal, domestic and family relationships. This AASW NSW Connect:ED webinar is part of a series helping Social Workers to connect with new ideas and reflect on their own practice. We focus on bringing everyday social workers to talk about their practice, ideas and experiences of social work. Webinars are 30 minutes (including short Q&A) and where agreed with the presenter, will be recorded for those who cannot participate in real time. Registrations are open to everyone nationally.
