Membership application checklist

Please ensure that you meet the eligibility requirements before proceeding with your application.
2. Supporting Documentation Required: Scan and upload
During the application process you will be asked to provide documentation proving your eligibility for membership.
*Note: In the event that all documents and information is not correctly supplied within 6 weeks of an application being submitted, your membership cannot be approved and an administration fee of up to 17% may be applied to any refunds (if applicable).
3. AASW Code of Ethics
All members agree to abide by the values, principles and standards of practice set out in the AASW Code of Ethics. If you do not agree to abide by the Code of Ethics we cannot accept your application.
4. Choosing Your Branch
Branches enable members to participate in and benefit from professional communities in their geographical region. During the application process, you will be asked to choose a Branch (there is no additional cost). Please choose a Branch based on where you live. For example, if you reside in Victoria, please join the VIC Branch.
North Queensland and Queensland
There are two Branches in Queensland – the QLD Branch and the North QLD Branch. As a general guide, if you reside south of Rockhampton join the QLD Branch and if you reside north of Rockhampton please join the North QLD Branch. Please refer to our map to see the exact Branch boundary to determine which Branch to choose (see map).
