The Scope of Social Work Practice
The Scope of Practice series articulates and promotes the role of professional social workers within fields of practice, and provides information about what employers and clients can expect. National Scope of Social Work strategy
The AASW has a national strategy which details how we will use each scope of practice in our overall social policy and advocacy work. This work, carried out in coordination with our national office, state and territory branches and members, promotes the value and significant contribution of the social work profession to stakeholders in government departments, welfare and related agencies, hospitals and health services, and media organisations, national, state and territory governments, and key ministers and Members of Parliament.
The Scope of Social Work Practice series is dynamic so we welcome suggestions for the development of future versions. Please send your feedback to the AASW Social Policy team
