Colin Sparrow is an experienced social work leader with more than 30 years of experience across health, child protection and human services in Australia and the United Kingdom. He is currently Principal Lead Social Work at the Women’s and Children’s Health Network in South Australia, where he provides strategic leadership to strengthen social work practice and service delivery.

Colin has held senior leadership roles across hospital social work, child protection and policy development, including Manager Social Work Services at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Senior Manager Social Work at the Central Adelaide Local Health Network. He is recognised for his strengths in practice improvement, systems development and organisational leadership.

A committed contributor to the profession, Colin served as Branch President of the AASW South Australia Branch Management Committee from 2022 to 2024, and previously served on the AASW’s South Australia Ethics Committee.
