Western Australia (WA)
Dawn Logan
Dawn Logan works in health in the remote northwest of Western Australia, is an advocate for rural and remote social workers and an advocate for inclusion. Dawn has been an active member of the West Australian Branch Management Committee as Vice President and President for the past eight years.
Dawn works as a generalist social worker, covering the Regional Hospital in Hedland, the community of Hedland and the surrounding remote Aboriginal Communities – all the aspects of life from birth to death. From a community development aspect, Dawn has been instrumental in setting up the Youth Accommodation Program in Hedland, Hedland SARC, Pilbara Community Legal Service and was chairperson of the Woman’s Refuge.
Dawn reflects that her special place when it all gets too much is sitting in the local water holes – just being with country and nature.
