About | This research aims to explore how social work was shaped from the 1970s to today, and how this history influences present and future social work. It intends to learn about social work today from a historical perspective, helping us to understand how different political and social conditions have affected the field of social work and participants’ experiences. |
What is involved | Consenting participants will gather into small online focus groups of up to 7 people and they will be invited to discuss their experiences and thoughts about their working lives. The focus group will last 90 minutes. These focus groups will be undertaken in late November through to late December 2023. So, it is important for prospective participants to quickly express their interest in participating. |
Participation is voluntary, and all information will be kept de-identified. Ethical approval is granted by QUT. |
