Capability level: Emerging; Evolving
Traumatic events impact all of us at some time in our lives. These events may be a result of natural disasters, accidents, unexpected deaths. Whatever they are, they have a significant impact on our lives and often lead to a change in how we function or view our world. Trauma not only impacts the person who has witnessed or experienced it, but also families and relationships.
As Social Workers, we have the skillset to provide general support. In this webinar, you will learn more about the impacts of disasters and major traumatic events on communities, families and individuals. You will become familiar with longer term interventions and have the knowledge to implement common short term interventions.
Who should register?
This webinar is targeted to emerging Social Workers, designed to increase
competence in dealing with people who have been impacted by disasters and major
traumatic events.
