This webinar brings YOU into the CORE of the work. Challenging the concept of client-centred practice and the selflessness of the social services sector, this webinar turns your focus to you. To be sustainable in the work, we have to turn up as our authentic selves - while being professional, boundaried and real. No big deal, right. If you cannot FEEL and KNOW yourself in the work, in the moments day to day, then how on earth can you engage USE OF SELF and PROTECT self - when we know those are burnout prevention requirements.
Bringing together evidence-based practice and years of clinical work, this webinar will have you walking away feeling refreshed, strengthened and empowered to take charge of your practice to prevent burnout and make your career more sustainable, your work with clients even safer, and your soul more authentically met.
It’s not therapy, but it does touch on therapeutic approaches in order to find, understand and activate your own unique USE OF SELF beyond ways we were taught in university. This webinar is essentially explaining why your own self-discovery and shadow work is the key to sustainable and authentic practice and safe outcomes for your clients.
Who should register?
This is for workers in any setting who have lived experience of family violence. It’s for family violence practitioners, and for workers in any role who want to bring greater authenticity to their client work. It’s also for leaders and managers, wherever they are, who want to lead with authenticity and foster safer, more supportive workplaces.
Participants may be emerging professionals who are just starting out, practitioners with some experience, or advanced workers who specialise in family violence. It is also for those who are noticing early signs of burnout, are at risk of burnout, or who feel deeply affected by the emotional toll of their work.
