Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is valuable for social workers delivering mental health care, as it provides an evidence-based approach to help clients manage distress by fostering psychological flexibility. ACT supports acceptance of difficult emotions and encourages value-driven actions, promoting resilience and well-being. It also equips social workers with tools to manage their own stress, enhancing their effectiveness and sustainability in practice.
This ACT package provides an introduction to ACT as well as information to guide participants in the application of ACT in their practice.
