This group is for social workers who work in, or are interested in working in private practice. We have a series of four meetings with presenters from the local region speaking on their field of practice.
Toni Ryan will join us, speaking on Mindfulness.
Toni Ryan is the Practice Owner of Insight Professional Services Darwin. Toni’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Social Work, and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling. Toni has over 25 years practice experience working within government, non-government, non-for-profit, and private practice settings. Toni has additional training in counselling, mindfulness, clinical supervision, and various psychological therapies. Toni is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AASW) and completed the AASW Advanced Supervision Program for the Mental Health Sector in 2023. Toni is additionally a member of the Northern Territory Social Workers in Private Practice Group. Toni is passionate about mindfulness, self-care, well-being and mental health. Toni’s approach is holistic, compassionate, and person-centred.
During this meeting, you will have the opportunity to explore basic mindfulness theory, complete mindfulness exercises yourself, and consider guiding your own mindfulness exercises with clients. The meeting includes:
