The use of AI in clinical practice: The good, the bad, and the ethical
Increasing the capacity of Mental Health services is a priority to meet the growing needs of our community. Scaling our workforce in a sustainable way to meet that demand, without causing burnout, is a significant challenge. AI tools can help unlock capacity whilst not increasing pressure on workers. Incorporating AI intro your practice can feel intimidating and overwhelming. Technology is evolving fast, and there is a lot of conflicting advice in the market. At Heidi, we've managed to assist hundreds of thousands of clinicians navigate this transition, evolve the way they practice and find more time for their patients, and for themselves. We'll talk through how to assess if an AI tool is safe to use, consent, and how we think about deploying AI to improve outcomes and patient experience in a safe and sustainable way.
