Meet the Presenters

Michelle Dyck is the Service Manager with Neami National—Connect to Wellbeing. Having spent many years studying why people commit crimes and criminal activity, Michelle chose to explore the field of forensic mental health, with a distinct interest in trauma and its relationship to offending behaviour. Michelle then made the move into community mental health with a focus on the impact of positive psychology and resilience. Michelle is experienced in operations, service, project and change management.

Alison Fairleigh is a Senior Program Officer with Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) overseeing numerous mental health and AOD contracts within the Townsville region. Alison comes from a strong background in community mental health and suicide prevention; and is currently the Deputy Chair of the Queensland Alliance for Mental Health – the peak body for the community managed mental health sector in Queensland. Alison sits on numerous advisory communities and steering groups, including representing NQPHN on Townsville City Council’s Inclusive Community Advisory Committee, bringing her passion for collaboration, partnerships and community to the fore.
