The AASW NT Branch invites you to: A Yarn with Josephine Lee aligning the 2022 theme of National Reconciliation Week, Be Brave, Make Change on 3 June 2022.

Josephine Lee

Josephine Lee is a Gudjula woman from North Queensland and has a Bachelor Social Work from James Cook University. Josephine has over 30 years of social work experience and significant years of experience as a carer which includes foster carer. She won Manager of the Year for the Private Sector in 2003 and Social Worker of the Year for the Mary Moylan Award in 2018. Josephine has worked in remote Aboriginal communities in Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia. She has worked in government, non-government, and community-based organisations. Josephine does work private practice and consultancy on a negotiated basis. She has worked in Germany with refugees. Josephine is currently the Manager Social Work at Royal Darwin Hospital. Her head, heart and soul are with Aboriginal people, their culture, their heritage, their future and their matters. She is passionate about social work that is focussed on being a change agent. Josephine is the oldest in a large family and loves her pet dogs.
