The AASW ACT Branch invites members, their families and friends to join us this Reconciliation Day, Monday 27 May, at the Reconciliation in the Park event.
Acknowledging the Indigenous custodians of the Canberra region and their contribution to the capital, it’s an opportunity to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements and explore how we can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
The day’s activities reflect the National Reconciliation Week 2019 theme 'Grounded in Truth, Walk Together With Courage', which encourages Australians to engage in meaningful conversations to develop a deeper understanding of our national story and our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
Immerse yourself in a culturally rich day with activities including free performances, workshops, storytelling and food vans.
