Cognitive techniques specifically designed for schema modes and mode dialogues will be included, in addition to homework assignments and behavioural pattern breaking/change strategies. It is suitable for therapists who have attended a preliminary workshop previously, as well as those who are interested in working towards becoming certified in Individual Schema Therapy.

Learning objectives

The program has been developed to offer training and supervision in Schema Therapy to those therapists/clinicians who are interested in learning about the theory and model, and also for those who plan to gain standard or advanced level certification in individual Schema Therapy through the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST).

The benefits of obtaining standard or advanced certification through the ISST, include an international recognition of competence in practising Schema Therapy, potential opportunities to be involved in research and training, and inclusion in an international network of certified Schema Therapists.
