Northern Territory (NT) Mental Health Accreditation Practice Group
Convenor: Brett Barney (photo)
"The group aims to provide support and direction to members who are at various stages in their accreditation journey. The group also has a role to provide advice about the challenges faced by members working towards Mental Health Accreditation in a remote setting. We would like to improve access to relevant, quality training in mental health for members practising in social work across the Territory. If you are interested and this sounds like you, please send me an email". Brett (Katherine NT).
The purpose of the NT Mental Health Accreditation Practice Group is to support members to maintain their Mental Health Accreditation, and to provide a context in which members new to the process can be mentored by accredited members.
Practice Groups report to the Branch Management Committee (BMC), work with and are supported by the NT Branch and represent the interests of the NT membership. Relevant AASW documents are: National and Branch Strategic Plans, the Code of Ethics, Practice Standards, the Reconciliation Action Plan, The Constitution and the By-Laws.
Members can also get in touch by email with the NT Branch.
