Northern Territory Social Workers in Private Practice
Julie Perrin - AASW Member has recently replaced Toni Ryan who will be convening the NT Social Workers in Private Practice Group as of October 2021. Meetings are held bi-monthly and provide an opportunity for networking, support, and sharing of skills /resources relating to private practice.
Membership is open to social workers currently working in, interested working in, or who have previously worked in private practice. Whilst the group is called the NT SWinPP, membership is open to social workers from other locations with similar working / geographical environments (e.g. North QLD, WA, SA).
Membership with the AASW is not required to be part of the group. Members are required to have completed social work qualifications that allow eligibility for membership with the AASW.

Start a New Practice Group
We welcome applications from AASW members to establish a new Practice Group at any time.
There are minimum requirements that need to be met to establish a group and groups need to complete an application form and develop a Terms of Reference specific to their proposed group.
There are also guidelines for the operation of these groups.
The NT Branch Management Committee (BMC) makes decisions regarding applications to establish a new Practice Group, and also provides oversight of the work of the Practice Group.
The NT Branch provides ongoing support to Convenors and Practice Groups.
If you are keen to explore the possibility of starting a new group, make contact with Terrie at the NT Branch via email: firstname.lastname@example.org or phone on 9320 1000.
